Hi
+'How do I find out if I have an adobe reader installed on my mac?+'
Have a look in your Applications folder. If you don't see it there it won't be installed.
+'If not where do I find the most current version which will work for 10.6.6?'+

Click on the 'select a Mac OS Version' pop up menu and select 10.5.8 - 10.6.4 from the list. OSX comes pre-installed with Preview which is Apple's own PDF Reader. IMO it's quicker than Adobe's own Reader.

  • Safari on Mac or Windows - browser preferences Launch Safari and choose Safari Preferences. In the Preferences window, click Security, and then click Website Settings next to Internet plug-ins. Select Adobe Reader in the list of plug-ins.
  • Download Adobe Acrobat Reader If you don't already have Acrobat Reader, download it here. Launch Reader and then open the PDF you need to sign, or just double-click the file to open it directly in.

Adobe Reader 8 For Mac

Adobe Acrobat Reader Mac

Once you have your CAC reader, plug it into your Mac and ensure your computer recognizes it. If you have one of the CAC readers we suggested above, then you should be good to go. If for some reason. Disk format compatible with mac and windows. Decided to uninstall adobe and try again. Adobe site said no formal 'uninstall' for reader just find it in applications and move to trash so I did that, rebooted the mac and downloaded a new version New when I try to install it says it has found a higher version of the reader already in the computer and aborts installation.
